Until recently, acoustic ecology has struggled to gain mainstream recognition outside of academic circles. About Sound aims to radically alter the perception of this discipline by engaging with ordinary, everyday New Zealanders and considering their responses to different aural wonders. Users will be given the opportunity to enter into a restful, meditative environment in which they can simply contemplate noise.
