Doc Edge Immersive Exhibition

Alongside it, the Doc Edge Immersive Exhibition invites you to step beyond the photograph and inside the story, through virtual reality, interactive installation and sensory driven experiences.  Twelve projects, five New Zealand world premieres alongside seven international award-winning works. The works move through climate and loss, memory and migration, grief and devotion, dementia and depression, ritual and the strange weather of our digital lives.  You can find the twelve projects’ synopses below.

Now, for the first time, these two world-class documentary platforms have joined forces and come together under one roof.  Two world-class exhibitions, One storytelling experience, gathered in the heritage halls of the Smith & Caughey’s Queen St., Auckland.  Together they create a journey from seeing to feeling, from bearing witness to becoming part of the story.

This exhibition is made possible with the support of our event promoter, Auckland Live (of Auckland Council), Fujifilm and tech providers, Digital Islands and Streamliner.
