Three films, American Doctor, NZ Wars: Stories of Waerenga a Hika and Unlikely Kin will not be available to stream online on Virtual Cinema. They are screening in-cinema only so we encourage you to catch them there.
Virtual cinema tickets are now available. Log in as a Doc Edge member to purchase. Once you have purchased, films will be preloaded on your dashboard under your Doc Edge account.
A single ticket grants a full day pass giving you unlimited access to both the World Press Photo 2026 and the Doc Edge Immersive Exhibition for a whole day.

Doc Edge Festival 2026 strives to be a fully cashless event. All venue transactions are made through our ticketing platform, and we encourage all attendees to have a credit or debit card ready for purchases.
We understand that a small number of our loyal audience members prefer to pay with cash. If you plan to pay cash on the day, we kindly ask that you bring the exact amount to help us keep things moving smoothly for everyone.
All seats are allocated. To secure your preferred seat, we recommend booking early. If you require accessible seating or special arrangements, please contact us — we are happy to assist.
Screenings will start promptly. To ensure a seamless experience for audiences and filmmakers, late entry will only be allowed at appropriate times during the screening.
