Doc Edge is a not-for-profit charitable organisation that promotes documentary film and filmmaking. It is a national organisation for documentary in New Zealand. Doc Edge delivers programmes and events including an annual Oscar-qualifying Doc Edge International Documentary Film Festival, industry and school programmes and year-round virtual platforms. 

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Doc Edge Ticketing and Customer Support Executive. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our customers, handling ticketing and registration queries, and assisting with general administrative tasks related to our annual documentary film festival. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and social media platforms in a timely and professional manner. 
  • Assist customers with ticket purchases, registrations, and related inquiries. 
  • Manage and update the ticketing system, ensure that all information is accurate and up to date. 
  • Coordinate with the festival team to ensure that all customer needs are met, and issues are resolved promptly. 
  • Provide technical support to customers who experience difficulties accessing festival content. 
  • Assist with general administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, preferably in a ticketing or event support role. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and information in a clear and concise manner. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively. 
  • Experience with ticketing software or CRM systems, with the ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies. 
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Passion for documentary films and the arts is a plus.

This is a 3-month contract role, with the possibility of extension depending on business needs.
