From the shadows of the street to the light of the silver screen.
CAM-ON, a self-taught filmmaking collective of sex workers and their children, use cinema to reclaim their stories and challenge generations of stigma. Born into one of the most marginalised and caste-oppressed communities, they are not only telling their stories, but reshaping how they are seen. Through filmmaking, they move beyond lives long defined by others, building confidence, dignity and a renewed sense of self-worth. Told from within through vérité and self-shot footage, the film is a powerful portrait of resilience and transformation.
