A return home becomes a vantage point on violence, distance, and denial.
Shortly after October 7, 2023, Director Even returns to what was once her home, traversing for over two years the remnants of the kibbutz of Nir Oz and its environs, now repurposed for tourist itineraries and military training exercises. From distant vantage points along the fence demarcating the Gaza Strip, she observes the gradual ruination across the border and the calculated maneuvers of IDF troops. A cinematic essay, the film chronicles systematic violence while exposing the muted indifference of spectators.
