Doc Edge Schools is the home of documentaries for Year 5-tertiary level students that are eye-opening, educating and provide a diverse range of voices. 

Festival Sessions 2022

Doc Edge Schools Festival Sessions will screen curated films for schools across in Auckland, Wellington and on our Virtual Classroom as follow:

Auckland | The Civic | Wed 22 June – Thu 23 June
Wellington | The Embassy | Thu 30 June – Fri 1 July  

Virtual Classroom | Mon 27 June – Wed 29 June

For teachers staying in the classroom or based elsewhere in New Zealand, you can take part in our four premiere films events that bring the festival to your classroom. Additionally, extra educational films will be made available to watch online in our Virtual Classroom, anytime during the Doc Edge Festival period.

For all of you staying in the classroom this June and July, we’re hosting four nationwide Doc Edge Schools Festival Sessions from Monday 27 June – Wednesday 29 June.​​​​​​​Each session will be an online watch party with schools from across New Zealand viewing each film at the same time and joining in on filmmaker Q&As after the screening.If you’d like to RSVP for these online watch parties, keep an eye out, all the information will be right here very soon.
