Chinese Projects
An Awesome Opportunity for Chinese Documentary Filmmakers and Chinese stories at Doc Edge 2024.
Doc Edge has an exclusive partnership with Fresh Pitch Factual Content Conference, China and CNEX CCDF Pitch Taiwan to select projects for the pitching markets in China and Taiwan,
Chinese filmmakers with a documentary feature project are invited to register for a 4-day pass and qualify to be considered for selection to one-on-one meetings with three of our visiting Chinese documentary leaders:
- Xiao Long, Co-founder and Director of Fresh Pitch Factual Content Conference, China
- Yulan Chang, Director CNEX Foundation and Producer CCDF Pitch Taiwan
- Lixin Fan, award-winning director and Co-founder of Inhope Films, China
Eligiblity Rules
- Must attend Doc Edge 2024 in-person and register for a 4-Day Industry Event from 26-29 June in Christchurch.
- The creative lead being a producer or director must be of Chinese origin.
- Your collaborators do not need to be of Chinese origin.
- Your project deals with the Chinese Diaspora, culture, history or subjects.
- Submit a pitch deck, with specified requirements below.
Pitch Deck Requirements
When submitting a pitch deck, it needs to have the following:
- logline
- short synopsis
- long synopsis
- treatment
- audience
- impact outcomes
- budget
- finance plan
- consents/clearances
- timeline
- key creatives
- other collaborators
- a teaser trailer is preferred
- An email receipt as proof of registration to Doc Edge Industry Events 2024.
Send the pitch deck to industry@docedge.nz, no later than Wednesday 12 June. Selected filmmakers for the one-on-one meetings will be advised by Monday 17 June.
