In a country where men outnumber women by over 30 million, the film follows Zhou, Li, and Wu, three single men attending a seven-day dating boot camp led by famed coach Hao. Through makeovers and “strategic deception,” Hao promises to transform their chances at love, just as he claims to have done for himself.
As the bachelors navigate awkward challenges and curated personas, they grapple with what’s real and what is performance. Both humorous and heartfelt, the film explores the pressures of modern courtship in China, revealing deeper questions about identity, loneliness, and the human desire to connect.
