What is exciting and different this year
Doc Edge Virtual Cinema runs from 19 June–9 July, accessible anywhere across Aotearoa New Zealand. All ticketing and streaming are conducted through this website to make it easier for you to plan and enjoy the virtual festival.
This year, along with the full and concession pricing, the Festival is also offering
- Doc Edge Membership – an annual membership to enjoy discounts and advance ordering opportunities for screenings and events.
Doc Edge Members receive the guaranteed lowest ticket prices along with exclusive benefits. If you are not already a member, we encourage you to become one today to enjoy discounted ticket prices and other privileges.
Important to note you will need to become a Doc Edge member first by purchasing a membership, which will give you a membership number that you can use to enjoy discounted pricings.
All ticketing for both in-cinema and virtual cinema screenings will be done in one place this year, through this website. This makes it easier than ever to secure your tickets and plan your festival experience.
- Along with the usual tickets, concessions as well as 5 and 10 ticket passes, we are offering

Cashless Festival: Doc Edge Festival will be a cashless event. We encourage you to purchase tickets, passes or memberships via the Doc Edge website. Cards are only accepted at the Doc Edge hub in cinemas foyers.

Allocated Seating: All cinema seats at the festival are allocated, which means you can choose your preferred seat when booking your tickets. However, seats are limited and can fill up quickly, so we recommend booking early to secure the seat you want for the screenings you plan to attend.
