Online Programme

Along with in-theatre screenings, 82 of the 83 festival films will also screen online this year, available nationwide 4 June to 11 July.

Films screening in theatres will become available online after their last screening.

Please note: Doc Edge Festival is licensed and approved to screen films online in New Zealand only, with the exception of some titles that are also available to Australian and Pacific Island residents.

* All bookings will be managed by Ticketmaster with booking fees being included in all ticket prices.
* As for transaction fee, there will be none for individual tickets but there will be a transaction fee for 5 and 10 film passes. Please also note that credit card fees may apply.  All Ticketmaster terms and conditions apply to all sales.

We appreciate not everyone is able to purchase a binge pass. Regretfully, we aren’t contractually allowed to offer these films individually online.

How Do I Book Online Tickets?

A total of 82 films are available online nationwide for New Zealand viewing only from 4 June to 11 July.  Much like popular online video streaming platforms such as Apple TV or Google Play, you book tickets by “renting” the film.

In order to rent and watch a film, you will need to: 

  1. Go to Doc Edge Online Festival platform.
  2. Create an account, if you are new or Sign In, if you are a returning audience.
  3. Once you are logged in, you can browse, select and add individual films or a selection to My Wishlist.
  4. After you pay with your credit card, your chosen film(s) will be added to My Library for you to watch anytime between 4 June – 11 July. You will have 48 hours to view the film once you have hit play.
