Free weekday afternoon screenings for Seniors.

Goodies for Goldies

With the generous support of the Kelliher Charitable Trust, Doc Edge is thrilled to invite our ‘Goldie’ friends to free, weekday afternoon film screenings at our Auckland and Wellington venues.

This film selection engages our Senior Citizens with a compelling programme of international release documentaries in both Auckland and Wellington.

The rich variety of films on offer cover everything from a delightful insight into the small West Coast town of Karamea, to the daily life of an isolated beekeeper in the mountains of Macedonia, whose future depends on the success of her hives.

We explore the extraordinary relationships between six clever helper dogs and their loving humans and the rich golden years of a group of film makers living in a Hollywood Retirement Home. We learn about the logistics of love in China, as we take a step inside the modern-day wedding industry and we walk alongside elderly, but  determined pilgrims travelling the Camino Way.

All of the films take us into worlds and experiences seldom seen, enriching our lives through the eyes of award-winning documentary film makers at the peak of their skills.

If you would like to attend a Goldies Screening, please contact our Goldies team at goldies@docedge.nz – tickets are subject to availability.
