We’re excited to open registrations for this year’s round of Doc Edge Clinics. We’ve got six Clinic events, running every other Saturday from early August until mid-October.
Come and join us to soak up skills and smarts from a selection of people playing at the top of their game.
Kicking off the season on Saturday 7 August is a two-part session on Scripting Unscripted. We’ll start with guests from Australia and NZ, talking about shaping their current doco and factual projects for big and small screens, and finish close to home with some of NZ’s best interviewers.
All our Clinic sessions feature Q+As as part of the events, so feel free to grill our guests on the topics you want answers about.
Check out all the Clinic 1 info and speakers here.
For those who’ve been around the programme in previous years, you’ll notice some changes this year. The programme is separate from Doc Edge Pitch, and offers a smorgasbord of sessions on hard and soft skills for documentary filmmakers and creators of factual content. Dip into as many of the sessions as you fancy and come away replenished.
Everyone’s welcome, but the Clinics programme primarily targets new, emerging and mid-career filmmakers and content creators.
All our Clinics run online, so they’re BYO from the comfort of your couch. No time wasted looking for parking, dodging the wintry weather or picking out the perfect outfit.
The info is updated regularly on the Clinics page – and keep an eye on our social media channels for any late changes or additions to the programme. We’re @docedgeindustry on facebook, twitter and the gram.
All Doc Edge Industry programmes are made possible by the generosity of our partners. Thanks, Department of Post, the New Zealand Film Commission, NZ On Air, RNZ, Screenrights, Shift72, The Spinoff and the University of Auckland.
