We are excited to bring you Doc Edge Festival 2023 for yet another season. So save the dates!

We are thrilled to announce the dates and venues for the 18th Doc Edge International Documentary Film Festival! This year’s festival will take place in Auckland, Wellington, and nationwide online.  The festival will run from 24 May to 9 July 2023.

As always, we invite you to come and join us in person in Auckland and Wellington or enjoy the festival from the comfort of your own home by attending online. With such a diverse and exciting line-up of films, there is something for everyone.

Auckland Festival

26 April Special Event and Programme launch at SkyCity Theatre
24 May – 5 June Doc Edge Festival at The Capitol Cinema
2 – 3 June Doc Edge Forum (industry event) at EMA Conference Centre 
11 May – 2 June XR Exhibition at Auckland Central Library

Wellington Festival

7 – 18 June Doc Edge Festival at The Roxy Cinema
12 – 18 June XR Exhibition (Venue to be confirmed)

Nationwide Virtual Cinema

19 June – 9 July
