A personal look inside Qatar’s labour camps, where the FIFA World Cup 2022 is being built on the backs of over million-plus migrant workers.
Millions of guest workers from India, Kenya, Nepal and Ghana work on the construction of the stadium venues for the football World Cup in 2022. Living under miserable conditions and off a pittance of a salary, they toil night and day to prepare for a party they won’t be invited to.
FIFA decided to organise a football championship for the workers themselves. Nobody is left out in the gripping tournament, which is a well-deserved half-time interval for the hardworking players. Audiences are taken on the most controversial construction site and the film gives voice to the workers following their enthusiastic preparation for their own soccer cup. A captivating film about comradeship, solidarity and team spirit under gruelling conditions.
